Katherine's career began in New York where she initially earned a BFA degree from Cornell University. Following graduation an interest in social work and education led her to work first as an HIV/AIDS Counselor and then as a Patient Representative/Advocate at Westchester County Medical Center. Inspired by her experience helping patients, Katherine pursued and earned a BSN and MS (Family Nurse Practitioner) from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York in 1998 and then quickly gravitated towards Women’s Health as her area of specialty, working in both Manhattan and Westchester County, New York. Building on her earlier experiences, Katherine views as her guiding principles in caring for patients, the importance of education and respect for women’s concerns and dignity.
Katherine moved to Austin in 2006 with her husband, three children, and two dogs. She spends her non-working hours caring for her family and pursuing her interests in the arts.
